For this year's new year,the whole family went to MBS to stay for one night........Poor Enen have to stay at home...
Gave my mum and dad some money to go to the casino and both of them won $300 each!!!!
Enjoyed the day there....
But the sad thing is.....attachment starts on the 3rd day of CNY.....
3 weeks of attachment at kkh and after that, will be exams......Stress to the max....
Now i am still rushing my management report.Hope to get it done by next friday.
Overall,the semester is so so stressful.Lots of projects ,assignments and new topics.
Do not even have time for my family.So...MBS stay to makeup for it (^ ^)

Finally have the time to sit down to update blog.......this semester is a killer...and we were told that next 3 semester will be worst!!!
This 2 weeks is supposed to be holiday but we still have to meet up for projects!!3 more projects to go and the standard for this year's presentation have to be better than last semester.No wonder all of the lecturers were telling us to enjoy our year 1 as its still holiday period.
Stress to the max.......time is always not enough!!Everything is tough tough tough.......

Used up 2 days of the holiday to paint the house.New colour...new start in 2012.

This new semester is very pack and tight......we now have 5 projects to do and two 500 words and one 100 word written assignments to complete....we have to call and meet lecturers very often.....
Not to mention 2 skills test coming too.....
Things are getting tough......very tough...we have to learn things that we have never seen before....

Wish us luck....We need loads of it now.....cant even rest at home after school....research and more research everyday.....
Sometimes i envy those classmates who are working as Enrolled nurses now......at least the work load is not that heavy as staff nurses.....
But for our future,we must Hang on!!!

Finally got our results today!!!
Thought that i will fail sociology.....but luckily i pass....with a C.....but its good enough......
1 dist,2A,2B,2C.....GPA3.14...
Now we must get ready for all year 2....more projects more tough subjects.......
we have 3 projects this sem,.....but next year we will have 5 or 6.......faint.....
But for now,its time to enjoy the holiday and enjoy!!!

My family is not super rich,does not live in a super posh house,don't drive a super posh car....

Today is the 2nd day of our attachment.Can really feel the difference between ITE and POLY attachment.
We really have to know our patient from top to toe.All the different medications and why they are having it....
different diagnosis and treatment needed.Its just the 2nd day and we have tons of homework.
Super stress....still have to think about sociology results coming out in a few weeks time......Hope that i can finish this 2.5 years course smoothly......
Looking forward to 17 sept for our first class BBQ.....16 sept the last day of attachment....just nice can celebrate on the 17!!

Hope that i can be like sponge bob.....absorb in all the knowledge and release it at work....we shall hang on and move forward together as a class.....

Today shall relax one day,after that chiong all the way till exams.....the whole class is in the stress mode now.
We dont even dare to sleep at night.Even when we try to sleep,our brain cells is still active.Insomia!!

Got some NAtional day treats for Enen.Its my 1st time ordering from them.But definately not my last time.I will order from them every month...All their things are freshly made after you order.So you cant keep it for too long also cause no preservetives added.....

The cranberry youghurt muffin is so soft ...not like some backery's cake.Very hard.....for a moment i thought it was grapes!!!All owners should remember,no grapes for dogs!!This is cranberry

Its funny that we have just spend 4 months in school and we felt like we were there for years already!!!
Stress Stress Stress!!!
1 more sociology presentation and 1 GSM presentation....
Sociology is a killer...2nd time we showed her and its still wrong!!
3 more weeks to exams and brain is still half empty......ArGGGGG!!!!
Luckily classmates are all helpful........we shall hang on!!

Today i was invited to ITE's nurses day celebration and at the same time to collect a award.
I've receive a best nursing student award from the school....funny why i got it cause there are definately people who are better than me..haha..
Ite's celebration is still the best.
I truely thank teachers and school for all the grooming.Without ite,i won't be in poly now.
Thanks for all the oversea learning trips.Its such a valuable experience.(^ ^)

I died today. You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were overcrowded and I drew an unlucky number. I am in a black plastic bag in a landfill now. Some other puppy will get the barely used leash you left. My collar was dirty and too small, but the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge .

Would I still be at home if I hadn't chewed your shoe? I didn't know what it was, but it was leather, and it was on the floor. I was just playing. You forgot to get puppy toys.

Would I still be at home if I had been housebroken? Rubbing my nose in what I did only made me ashamed that I had to go at all. There are books and obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door.

Would I still be at home if I hadn't brought fleas into the house? Without anti-flea medicine, I couldn't get them off of me after you left me in the yard for days.

Would I still be at home if I hadn't barked? I was only saying, "I'm scared, I'm lonely, I'm here, I'm here! I want to be your best friend."

Would I still be at home if I had made you happy? Hitting me didn't make me learn how.

Today we finished our last skills test!!!Now we must concentrate on our 3 project presentation and next EXAMS!!!Exams dates are out....Stress to the max......Lots of things to squeeze into the little brain!!
Sat i will be going back to ITE for the best nursing student award and to celebrate nurses day with them...haha....

Went back to Mount Alvernia for feedback session last Sat....Can't wait to go back and work!!!
To work in mount A,you must really know your work well.....
You must be able to answer to patient's questions
You must learn how to talk tackfully...
You must be able to take scolding/teaching from doctors....
You must be able to take scolding/teaching from seniors...
Lastly,you must be able to take STRESS!!!
One wrong step you take and the whole hospital will know...haha

Did not know that staff nurses could be such a stressful job till we are in poly......
You must love the work to enjoy it....If not you will be dragging yourself to work everyday.
After the ordeal last month,i can truely understand how patient feel and really hope that i could provide them with the best comfort while they are staying with Mount Alvernia.....

This became my daily needs.....cant sleep before 1am because there is simply too many things to study!!
We even have to go back to school on Saturday for projects!!!Tell me about the stress to become a staff nurse!!Sometimes i have this feeling that i have dug a hole n jumped inside it myself.....haha...but no choice...once we are in it,we just have to continue digging and try to free ourself....

When school reopenns on Monday,we have 4 pratical skills test.....3 nursing skills and 1 bio...
For exams,we have 7 topics....plus 1 malay gsm that we have to pass....

Today was such a busy day.....trying to make out way around school...buying books for lessons.....
Starting from next week,we only need to attend lessons till 4pm on Monday.The rest of the days till 3pm...Seriously i love Poly life cause classes are kept small.Only 20 of us in our class.Makes it easier for us to bond with each other.

Finally school term will officially start next MOnday!!!Today at orientation,we got our timetable and classes.
Those who are from ITE is divided into 2 classes.Luckily the few of us who gets along well are in one class.There are 18 of us in one class.We already know each and every of them.This 2.5 years is going to be a breeze......
Best of all is our timetable.MOst of the classes starts at 9am and ends at 3pm....1 of the day end at 5pm.
Hmm....what CCA should i join??Seriously thinking of joining water sports...canoe....

Today,Aana and me went back Mount A to sign a new bond.We only had to study for 2 1/2 years.But we had to sign a 3 year bond with them.....with no backpay...But its alright.Most importantly we get to upgrade our knowledge first.

Hmm....the reason why i have to put a shirt on Enen everytime its because of her licking habit....not really for fancy dress up.....

Tomorrow will be the day for me to extend my bond with Mount Alvernia.
Four more days to collect my student card from NYP
Seven more days to school orentation
Ten more days for school to start officially.
More or less,we already know who are the ones who will be in the same class as us.

Oh...missed out something.....Six more days to Enen spa session at Petopia...estimated damage $200 cause of the addiction spa service.
Going to miss the quality time that i had spend with my family for the past 3 months.....Youngest sister is now so addicted to her new i pad......at least she wont be so lonely when we are busy outside.Will try to bring her out shopping during weekends more often.

Every morning Enen will wake up at my slightest movement and she will start staring at me till i wake up.
Why?
She will give me loads of kisses when i open my eyes.

During day time,she will sleep on her own bed.

But when night falls,she insist on sleeping with me...no matter how many times i carry her to her bed,she will dash to me again

Saw this note on fb posted by petopia and found it interesting.......speaks from a true dog lover's heart.But some of the points i have to disagree.
Like point number 5.....i have to disagree that Petless friends do not always get why I am willing to spend serious money to treat my dog's or cat's serious illness.
I have seen people with pets putting their animals to sleep because of the huge vet fee that they have to pay for their illness.For me,i belief that unless the animal is sufferring in great pain and cant be cured.If not no matter how much money i have to spend,i will still do it.
Various stupid excuses are:Pregnent,old dogs making way for the young cute ones,moving house....name it..there are all kind of excuses when they dont want their animals they called precious before.
So do you still call this group of people animal lovers??

Remember this....you have your family and friends.BUt they only have you!!

8 Things My Friends Don't Understand About My Relationship With My Animal Companions

We love to talk about our animal companions, be it cats or dogs, show off cute pictures and brag how smart and clever they are. Even when we complain about stepping barefoot on nasty hair balls or cleaning up puppy potty accidents, we do so with affection.

But unless friends share our furry passion, dog and cat conversations often raise eyebrows or spark disbelief about our pet devotion. Here are eight things friends often don't "get" about our relationship with our cats and dogs.

1. No matter what, dogs have to be walked. And though it may seem annoying to friends who want to party, a companion's toilet is more important than a never-ending night at the club. Petless friends don't understand that walking the dog can't wait.

2. Grooming is a health issue and a household necessity. Friends roll their eyes at talk of the poodle salon, kitty lion cuts and doggie t-shirt because they do not understand that grooming is not a luxury, it is a requirement. Keeping fur in good shape prevents painful matting, skin irritation and parasites. Brushing keeps fur off furniture. Rain wear protect dogs' nether regions from getting thoroughly wet. Hair bows and nail polish? Well, they are simply value added.

3. My companions may not like you - and that's fine. Sometimes the people and the animals we love have bad chemistry and do not get along. I hope you like each other, but it is enough that my dog and cat love me and that you love me. And I understand if you do not love them like I do.

4. Companions (OK, their parents) like when you give them gifts. Friends sometimes do not understand why anyone would give a dog or cat a silver-plated food bowl when the pet would happily eat off a paper plate. And it is true, companions do have simple tastes. But really good friends understand that by indulging the animals in my life they are making me happy. Even if you do not get why my dog needs a monogrammed leash, know that I will think of you every time I use it to walk him.

5. Companions take priority in the household budget. Petless friends do not always get why I am willing to spend serious money to treat my dog's or cat's serious illness. They act offended that those funds are not being spent on helping humans in need. But you really do not want to get me started. When my friends give up spending on pricey new golf clubs or shiny new cars, they can talk to me about what I choose to spend my money on.

6. Some friends really don't get cat and dog shows. They think they are silly beauty pageants and a waste of time. They do not get that competitions are social occasions with other people who appreciate dogs and cats the same way that I do. Dog performance competitions and even cat agility events reward companions for excelling at what they were meant to do.

7. Dogs and cats are great listeners. Friends offer well-meaning advice when I am depressed, but my cat and dog simply listen. They do not judge my tears or rants. They love me despite smelly feet, bad hair days or dumb mistakes - and eagerly change my mood with silly games. Friends do not understand that just being with my cat or dog cheers me up when I am sad, because a wagging tail or purr offers powerful emotional medicine.

8. People without pets do not understand the depth of grief I feel when a pet dies. A lost love deserves mourning that honours and respects that loss. Even if they have never experienced that level of connection with an animal, good friends support me through my grief. They listen to my tearful memories as long as it takes, because that is what I need.

We choose our friends because we enjoy their company, and we choose to share our lives with animal companions for the same reason. And hopefully, eventually, our good friends will begin to understand the place these animals have in our lives.

Ok i admit that i am lazy.Wanted my own blog but was lazy to set up seperate one from Enen.So i have decided to co-own this blog with her from now on.
Our new blog name is Bits N Pieces.......
From now onwards,i will share bits and pieces of my life and Enen's life here(^ ^)

Poly admission is all done!!Very excited about my new life.
Have to sign a new contract with Mount Alvernia all over again.I have to work 5 years with them in the future.Even though promotion is not as fast as Government hospital,its still my top choice hospital to work at.So,i don't really mind the length of years that i have to work there.

Really never regret joining ITE,my 2 years of life there is fun,meaningful and exciting!!
Thanks to ITE,i have done things that i never thought i could do in this lifetime.
This year,i got the eagles award again.Will treat teacher a good meal with the award money.
Oh....i also got the Certificate of merit award.According to teachers,this is a good award.I can ask for higher pay from the hospital with this award.

Now i am trying to spend as much time as possible with my family.I will be very busy again when school starts.Am planning and saving for a family vacation during my school vacation!!

I am now 5 years old and i have never done any teeth scaling before.......mum has been very hardworking in maintaining my teeth tartar free.....

Steps to a clean teeth..
Once a month i will get nice raw ox tail for chewing...
Petzlife is a bit expensive but it really works to soften n get rid of tartar...mum uses it everyday in the beginning to get rid of all the tartar...
Lastly maintain with daily brushing with normal doggie toothpaste.

Mum seldom buys me any clothes or shoes.......this time,she got me 2 new shoes and clothes...
I really needed the shoes cause i walk like 3 times daily....mum is lazy to clean my pawpad after every walk.So i guess the shoes really helps.
Mum is going to get real busy this 3 weeks as the Aus buddies are in Singapore.So the few of them are going to bring them around Singapore for this 3 weeks....Totally awesome!!

Love this bed to bits.......the cushion is not the normal type of cushion that i usually have..it comes in wave form...more cooling and it supports my joints too....
According to mum,this bed does not come cheap....cause of its function...the 2nd cover is ex too...
But mum is happy as long as i am...haha...

According to mum,its not just a normal bed....Its a orthopedic bed .It helps to support tired joints
It is recommanded for older dogs but young ones can use it too.....It offers protection of pressure points on bones and joints and foam sides to offer the security some dogs need.

Mum bought a extra cover for the bed....so that she can exchange and wash

Today is dad's Birthday and the whole family went for dinner at no signboard at vivo and went to Sentosa after that....
It was an enjoyable day....Total spend on food was $600++...consider cheap for the amount of food....
Christmas eve we will have firends and relatives coming over for our annual xmas gathering again!!

Finally 2 years of ite life is over......now looking forward to NYP next year(cross our finger....nursing director finally agreed and now waiting for the CEO to agree to it too...luckily our gpa is high..if its below 3.8 than not much hope cause they intially wanted us to get all As)Means that i will be bonded for 5 years if everything goes well...well,its ok for me since Mount Alvernia has been my 1st and only choice in the beginning........
All the ite students will be together in a class in NYP....at least we know all of them.....We shall strive for good results together again!!
Had a good meal today and is fully booked till friday.....more gatherings and catching up with my pals

Finally 2 years have passed and i am graduating.......
NO regrets in joining ITE........Through ITE,i went for YEP trip to Vietnam and exchange programme to Melbourne.Made lots of good friends with different people from different courses and from nursing as well.
This 2 years have been very meaningful and special.I have gain many valuable experience.....I will move on to the next phrase of life with all the knowledge from ITE......
So from now onwards i will be busy meeting all the friends that i have neglected in the 2 years...sorry pals.....
Loads of gatherings,meet up and celebration from today onwards....
Sunday is dad's birthday and we have already booked a table in a chinese resturant and off to sentosa after that....
Lastly i am greatful to my family and friends for all the support in this 2 years!!!!Without you guys,i dont think i can do it....

Mummy's going to Melbourne next Sunday for 3 weeks....it's a school exchange program and only the 4 of them are going.According to teachers,they are very lucky because they will be last batch of students that go for a 2nd school trip...the teaches really fought hard for them to go to Melbourne with the principle....
Luckily they are all classmates and know each other well....heard that they have plans to go to a few places during the weekends and after lessons....one of it is the penguin island.....
She also plan to buy a few items for me from the petshops in Melbourne...heard that they have really nice and special harness and toys there.
When she comes back,she promised to bring me to Petopia for more spa and treatments.

Today i went to Petopia for spa treatment again.Mummy is very very happy with their service.No doubt it a bit expensive,but she really see results on my skin.
Petopia can be highly addictive.Mummy is now thinking of signing up package for me. It is much cheaper as i am going every week.....ita a 4 digit figure...better dont let grandma know..if not she will hit the roof!!

There is this new pet shop that open a few months ago near my house.Mummy decided to bring me to spa today.

Spend quite a bit there but mummy feels that its worth the money.She decides to bring there every week.

Mummy have been very busy with school and family for the few weeks,so no time to update.Next few weeks all the way till August,she need to attend to NPD redcross and AED course.Activities are pack till December.No worries,no matter how pack mummy is,she will still leave some time for me.3 weeks later i will be attending a dog gathering at Sentosa beach.
Mummy is soooo looking forward to the Taiwan trip with her friends at the end of December!!!Its a treat she is giving herself before she offically starts work.She promised to buy me doggies stuffs from there.

Mummy went to see their concert at the National stadium today.Open area with fireworks.
I was neglected by her because of a concert!!!
She came back 1am in the morning.Smelling yucky because all of them sweat like hell.All the singing,screaming and moving around made them sweat like hell.Opps,she lost her voice due to all the screaming too.
She is happy though cause she got the best seat,best view.
Tomorrow mummy is going to have a busy day cause she is going to the shelter to help out in grooming.

Mummy did some shopping for me today....look what she got.....

For the 14 days the 3 of them eat,sleep,bath,shit,stink together(in the same room i mean)

Serious work time(the sun is a killer=almost 37 degree everyday.All of us are full with dust,paint on our body.Our hair became stiff at the end of the day cause of sweat and paint.

Home sweet home

Mummy came to pick me home around 9pm from Yvonne's house last night.Finally she is back from Vietnam after 2 weeks.They have to wake up as early as 5.30am everyday.She simplily love the kampong life there.There are chicken,ducks and dogs running around everywhere.Spiders are always found on their hair.Mummy sweat like a pig everyday...haha..
As most of you all know that mummy is not really a kid person.She dont really like kids that much.But the kids there really melt her heart.They dont have a lot of things that our kid have in Singapore.Their bags are torn,they dont have anything to play with.But they study hard and never ask for more.
The people there are very very poor but also very friendly at the same time.
She turned darker because of all the sun tanning.Everyday she and her teammates must work under the hot sun.From scrubbing off paint,painting,carrying cement,carrying soil,gardening,cleaning off cement off tiles ect ect.All of them became construction workers there.
All the 26 of them underwent major changes in term of personalility and thinking.
Opps forgot to mention that they are their for community service work.They change the tiles,paint and install fans for a school.That is 3 classrooms.The villagers and kids are really greatful to us for all our work.We were even on their news.
Great teamwork among each and everyone of them.If not the whole project will not be successful.
It is a memorable trip for each and everyone of them.They had hard times and good times.They sweat and stink the bus together.They got muddy and dirty together.They laugh and cry together.They shared everything that they had.They are one!!!
This speical friendship will last forever.
Heard from Mummy that they will be meeting up for a last community service work in Singapore to close up this YEP trip.They even organise a BBQ after that!!!

Mum always think that expensive=good.....She always compare the price and not the product.For kibbles,she used to get me the most expensive kibbles that she can find.To her,the more expensive=the better.In the end,the expensive kibbles are mostly the ones with the highest protein level and i cant take food too high in protein.My skin suffered.

Till last Friday,her thinking changed.SHe went to a petshop and decided to get a shampoo that is below $20 bucks.After using that shampoo,i no longer scratch that much.Scratching and licking reduce by almost 85%!!!
So please dont judge things by the price.Expensive does not means Good.
